Overview
The oxygen production system ensures oxygen production in hospitals and medical centres where oxygen is needed. Ambient air is compressed by a screw compressor, stored in the air tank, dried and filtered, then separated in the oxygen generator so that oxygen is retained and nitrogen is vented. The product oxygen is buffered in the oxygen tank and fed to the pipeline through the oxygen routing panel, which is also where a cylinder manifold can be connected as a redundant source.
Tecnomed oxygen generators are designed according to the oxygen capacity needs of the hospital, with capacity options between 3 m³/h and 150 m³/h. The model table runs from TEC 51.30.01 at 50 lt / 3 m³/h to TEC 51.30.24 at 2000 lt / 120 m³/h, each row pairing a screw type compressor from 37,2 m³/h - 4 kW up to 1338 m³/h - 110 kW with a matching dryer from 54 m³/h - 0,26 kW to 1800 m³/h - 4,45 kW, an air tank of 500 to 5000 litres and an oxygen tank of 500 to 3000 litres.
The station can be delivered as a compact ready container assembly, which is the practical route for hospitals with no free plant room and for rapid deployment projects. Optional features include stainless steel tanks, backup compressors and dryers, an activated carbon tower, automatic drain systems and a cylinder filling system that lets the hospital fill its own spare containers from the generator.
Generally the oxygen generator is combined with the hospital cylinder gas supply unit as redundant, so the manifold takes over if production is interrupted for maintenance or a power event. The oxygen routing panel is the point where the two sources meet and where spare containers can be brought onto the line. Where a facility also holds a liquid oxygen tank, the generator, the tank and the manifold can be arranged as a three-source strategy, with the Deluxe manifold alarm control unit monitoring the liquid tank as the third supply.

Frequently asked questions
How much oxygen can a Tecnomed generator produce?
Capacity options run between 3 m³/h and 150 m³/h. The standard model table covers TEC 51.30.01 at 50 lt / 3 m³/h through TEC 51.30.24 at 2000 lt / 120 m³/h, and each row specifies the matching compressor, dryer, air tank and oxygen tank.
Does an oxygen generator still need a cylinder manifold?
Yes. The generator is generally combined with the hospital cylinder gas supply unit as a redundant source, so the manifold takes over automatically if production stops for maintenance or a power event. The oxygen routing panel manages the changeover between the two sources.
What if we have no plant room for the equipment?
The whole station can be supplied as a compact ready container assembly, delivered pre-assembled and needing only services and the pipeline connection on site. This is also the usual arrangement for rapid deployment and field hospital projects.
Can we fill our own cylinders from the generator?
A cylinder filling system is available as an optional feature. It takes product oxygen from the generator and fills spare containers, which lets the hospital keep its own reserve manifold and transport cylinders charged without external deliveries.
