Overview
The medical vacuum pump is the machine that creates negative pressure in a hospital suction system, and the TEC51.25 range is designed for that duty rather than adapted from industrial use. The pumps use oily rotating pallets, which gives quiet operation and high performance under continuous working conditions, and they are air cooled so no water circuit is needed in the plant room. Purifying filters on the exhaust outlet clean the discharged air before it leaves the machine.
Seven frame sizes cover the full plant range. Rated capacity at 50 Hz runs from 25 m³/h on the TEC025 to 305 m³/h on the TEC305, with motor powers of 0,75 to 7,5 kW, a motor speed of 1500 rpm across the range and a vacuum efficiency of 2 mbar on every model. Noise levels rise from 53 dB(A) to 73 dB(A) and approximate weights from 27 kg to 265 kg, with operating temperatures between 80 °C and 86 °C. These are the same machines used in the TEC51.22, TEC51.23 and TEC51.24 plants.
Servicing is packaged into two kits. The general maintenance kit (TEC.51.25.01) is applied every 3000 hours or once every six months and covers the oil change, oil filter, air filter and exhaust filter replacement plus general inspection and cleaning. The preventive maintenance kit (TEC.51.25.02) is recommended every 12.000 hours or once every two years and includes bearings, cover gaskets, sealings, pallets and coupling replacement. Keeping both kits on site is the simplest way to hold a hospital suction system at full capacity.
