Eva Series Medical Gas Outlets TEC61.xx.xx.EV

Eva Series Medical Gas Outlets

Eva series medical gas outlets are Tecnomed's ergonomic, cost-efficient BS 5682 terminal units. Every part the gas passes through is M58 forged brass, while the housing uses ABS and glass-fibre reinforced engineering plastics. A wide upper head lets nurses release the probe with one finger. Five gas services are offered in four connection variants.

Black medical gas double outlet for medical air, brass body with two sockets TEC61.xx.xx.DB

Medical Gas Double Outlets

A medical gas double outlet is a brass adapter that turns a single terminal unit into two usable gas connections. It plugs into the existing socket with a standard probe and presents two gas outlets of its own, held together by interconnection wedges. The connection probe is supplied to DIN 13260, BS 5682 or AFNOR geometry.

Wall Gas Module TEC62

Wall Gas Module

The TEC62 wall gas module groups one to six medical gas outlets in a single extruded aluminium body. Flush-mounted and surface-mounted versions are available with a standard or stainless steel cover, and six gas options including AGSS. It is the simplest way to bring a defined set of services to a theatre, ICU bay or patient room wall.

Terminal Wall-Mount Gas Outlets TEC61.xx.xx.TU

Terminal Wall-Mount Gas Outlets

Terminal wall-mount gas outlets put a single medical gas outlet in a compact moulded case that fixes directly to the wall. The simple, rounded housing looks deliberate in patient areas and installs quickly in either flush-mounted or surface-mounted form. All seven gas services are listed for BS 5682, DIN 13260-2 and AFNOR NF S 90-116.

Overview
  • 01
One range, three probe standardsDIN 13260-2, BS 5682 and AFNOR NF S 90-116 share the same lower body platform. A hospital can standardise on Tecnomed even when different departments or donor-funded equipment use different probe geometries.
  • 02
Serviceable without shutting the wardAn internal check valve closes the gas path the moment the upper body is lifted off. Heads can be cleaned or replaced during a normal maintenance window without isolating the zone valve.
  • 03
Brass where the gas flowsIn both MC and PC models every part the gas passes through is brass, degreased for medical use. Only the visible cover differs, so the PC option lowers cost without touching the gas path.
  • 04
Predictable, one-hand operationAdapter insertion needs at most 100 N and withdrawal 110 N, with the probe locked by four stainless-steel pins. Nurses connect and release equipment quickly and repeatably.
  • 05
100% leak testedEvery outlet is leak tested before it leaves the factory and the copper tails are plugged after degreasing, so site commissioning is about pipework, not about the terminal units.
  • 06
Built to fit the rest of the systemThe same outlets drop into Tecnomed bed head units, pendants, zone service units and TEC62 wall modules, or onto bare 8, 10 or 12 mm copper drops on a third-party installation.

Medical gas outlets are the terminal units at the point of care: they take oxygen, nitrous oxide, medical air 4 bar, surgical air 7 bar, medical vacuum, carbon dioxide and nitrogen from the hospital copper pipeline or a medical hose and hand it to the flowmeter, regulator or ventilator the clinician plugs in. Tecnomed manufactures every gas socket in line with EN ISO 13485 medical device requirements and EN ISO 9001:2015, with probe geometries to DIN 13260-2, BS 5682 and AFNOR NF S 90-116, CE marked through notified body 1984.

The TEC61 range covers the three international probe standards in four connection variants each – 45° pipe, 90° pipe, 45° union and rear union – and in two constructions: MC with an all-brass body and head, and PC with a brass lower block and an ABS plastic cover. Alongside them sit the ergonomic Eva series, the all-metal Mega series with a five-year warranty, double adapters that split one socket into two, terminal wall-mount boxes and the TEC62 wall gas module for one to six outlets.

Tecnomed is a manufacturer, not a reseller: bodies are machined and degreased in Istanbul, every outlet is 100% leak tested, and pipe tails are plugged before shipment to protect medical cleanliness. Gas service, standard, connection angle, tail diameter and cover material are all configurable on the order line, and the range is exported to more than 45 countries with spare heads, probes and adapters available from stock.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between MC and PC medical gas outlets?

MC outlets have a main body and an upper head made entirely of brass. PC outlets keep the brass lower block but use an ABS plastic upper cover. In both versions every component the gas actually touches is brass, so the difference is cover material, weight and cost rather than gas purity.

Which gas services are available?

Oxygen, nitrous oxide, medical air 4 bar, surgical air 7 bar, medical vacuum, carbon dioxide and nitrogen. The Eva series covers the first five and the Mega series the first six. AGSS is offered as one of the six gas options on the TEC62 wall gas module.

Can I mix DIN, BS and AFNOR outlets in the same hospital?

Yes. Each gas service and each standard has its own product code and its own non-interchangeable probe, so DIN, BS and AFNOR outlets can coexist in different departments. In practice most hospitals fix one standard per building and keep the others only where imported equipment demands it.

How is the outlet connected to the copper pipeline?

Choose 45° pipe, 90° pipe, 45° union or rear union output. Pipe versions ship with a 120 mm copper tail, 8 mm as standard and 10 mm or 12 mm on request. Union versions are used where the installer prefers to terminate the pipe on site.

Are the outlets certified?

The outlets are produced under EN ISO 13485 and EN ISO 9001:2015, are CE marked through notified body 1984, and the Eva and Mega series are designed to Medical Devices Directive 93/42/EEC. Probe geometry follows DIN 13260-2, BS 5682 or AFNOR NF S 90-116 depending on the version ordered.

What does Tecnomed supply besides the outlets themselves?

Matching probes and adapters, double adapters, flowmeters and vacuum regulators, medical copper pipe and fittings, colour-coded hoses to EN 739, wall gas modules, zone service units and bed head units – so the whole terminal end of the pipeline can come from one manufacturer.
