Overview
Medical gas double outlets solve the everyday problem of a bed that needs two oxygen or two vacuum connections while the wall offers only one. The adapter is inserted into an existing gas outlet like any other probe and then presents two gas sockets of its own, so a flowmeter and a humidified circuit, or a suction jar and a second regulator, can run from the same terminal unit without any pipework change.
The product is made entirely of brass raw material. Two gas sockets sit on a common body and are held in position by interconnection wedges, which keep the assembly rigid when equipment is plugged into both sides. Because the housing and the gas path are metal, the adapter tolerates the weight and leverage of a mounted flowmeter better than a plastic splitter, and it is cleaned and disinfected like the rest of the terminal equipment.
The connection probe is produced optionally as DIN 13260, BS 5682 or AFNOR, so the same double outlet range can be used on any Tecnomed or third-party terminal unit. Colour coding follows the gas service – white for oxygen, yellow for vacuum, black for medical air and blue for nitrous oxide – which keeps the gas identity visible even when the wall outlet is hidden behind equipment. Typical use is intensive care, emergency and recovery beds.

Frequently asked questions
Does a double outlet halve the flow?
The adapter splits one terminal unit, so the two connections share the flow and pressure the wall outlet can deliver. It is intended for combinations such as a flowmeter plus a second device, not for two high-consumption devices running at full rate simultaneously.
Which probe standard should I order?
The one already used in the hospital. The connection probe is produced optionally as DIN 13260, BS 5682 or AFNOR, and the two sockets on the adapter match the same standard so existing equipment plugs straight in.
Is the double outlet a permanent installation?
No, it is a plug-in adapter. It can be inserted and removed like any probe, which makes it useful for surge capacity or for a patient who temporarily needs two connections at one bed.
What is it made of?
Entirely brass. Two gas sockets and interconnection wedges make up the assembly, giving it the rigidity needed when a flowmeter or regulator is hanging off one of the sockets.
