Rack System Medical Vacuum Plant (TEC51.23)

The rack system medical vacuum plant packs three vacuum pumps into a modular cabinet so a full triplex suction source fits into a narrow plant room. It ships as a ready-to-use assembly complete with bacteria line filters, vacuum tank and PLC control panel, and its open shelves keep every pump accessible for maintenance.

Overview

Where a conventional skid-mounted plant will not fit, the rack system medical vacuum plant stacks the pumps vertically in a modular cabinet. The result is the same triplex suction source with the same capacity table, but in a footprint that suits narrow or awkward plant rooms. The unit is designed as a ready-to-use assembly, so site work is reduced to connecting the pipeline, drain and power supply.

The rack is supplied in connection with bacteria line filters and a PLC control panel, which manages soft starting and the equal-aging sequence of the pumps. Open shelves inside the cabinet give direct access to each machine for oil changes, filter replacement and inspection without dismantling the rack. The compact structure makes installation straightforward for the user and keeps cable and pipe runs short.

Seven models mirror the standard vacuum range: system capacities of 25, 40, 60, 106, 151, 205 and 305 m³/h per pump at 50 Hz with motor powers from 0,75 kW to 7,5 kW, three pumps per plant, twin tanks of 500, 1000 or 2000 litres, a double bacteria filter set, a connection equipment set and one PLC control panel. The plant serves the same duties as the standard system: patient rooms, intensive care and operating theatres.

Frequently asked questions

Why choose the rack system over a standard vacuum plant?

The capacities are identical; the difference is geometry. Stacking the pumps in a modular cabinet turns a wide skid into a tall, narrow unit, which is what makes the rack system useful in cramped plant rooms and in refurbishments where the room cannot be enlarged.

Is maintenance harder inside a cabinet?

No. The rack uses open shelves so each pump can be reached directly for oil changes, exhaust filter replacement and inspection. The general maintenance kit is applied every 3000 hours or every six months, as with the standard plant.

What is supplied with the rack plant?

Each model includes three vacuum pumps in the rack, two vacuum tanks of 500, 1000 or 2000 litres, a double bacteria filter set, a complete connection equipment set and one PLC control panel, designed as a ready-to-use assembly.

Medical Vacuum Plant

The Tecnomed medical vacuum plant is the central suction source for patient rooms, intensive care units and operating theatres. Three vacuum pumps connected in parallel are run at equal time intervals by an equal-aging PLC control panel, negative pressure is stored in twin tanks and the line is protected by a double bacteria filter set before it reaches the wards.

Tank-Over Medical Vacuum Plant

The tank-over medical vacuum plant mounts two oil-type vacuum pumps directly on a horizontal receiver, producing a complete suction source with almost no floor area and very little height. Each suction outlet is connected to the tank through a check valve, and the plant is fully automatic with bacteria line filters and a PLC control panel.

Medical Vacuum Pumps and Maintenance Kits

Tecnomed medical vacuum pumps are oily rotating pallet machines designed specifically for hospital suction systems, covering 25 to 305 m³/h at 50 Hz with a vacuum efficiency of 2 mbar. They run continuously, are air cooled and carry purifying exhaust filters, and are backed by general and preventive maintenance kits on a defined service interval.

Vacuum Tanks, Bacteria Filters and PLC Panels

These are the three components that turn vacuum pumps into a complete medical vacuum plant. Galvanized steel vacuum tanks of 500 to 2000 litres store the negative pressure, bacteria filter groups protect the line down to 30 microns with a by-pass and scum collection jar, and the PLC control panel runs the pumps with soft start and equal aging.
