Overview
The Hendem-X bed head unit is built on the same aluminium monolithic channel as the Hendem model, so it shares the continuous profile, the individual connection socket for each electrical outlet and the separate connection within the gas service. What distinguishes it is lighting: as well as the bottom reading LED, the unit carries upper general room lighting and is controlled by a double switch group, and Tecnomed offers four additional room lighting options beyond the standard arrangement.
Electrical and gas systems are designed completely separate from each other inside the body, in accordance with EN 11197. Standard accessories are two grounded mains sockets, two UPS sockets, a data socket, one LED bottom reading light, one LED upper room light, a double switch group, nurse call provision as an option and medical gas outlets in DIN, BS or AFNOR pattern as an option. Grounding points, front cover design options and antibacterial paint in RAL colours are available as optional features.
Units are produced in the colours and sizes suited to the hospital project and its architectural design, with optional lengths up to 6000 mm. The extra lighting capability makes Hendem-X a good fit for rooms where the bedhead has to provide the general room light as well as the patient reading light, such as single-bed rooms without a separate ceiling scheme, observation rooms and refurbishment projects where ceiling work has to be minimised.
