Overview
A non-motorized double arm three joint pendant carries the service column on two horizontal arms joined by three rotating joints, giving the same wide working envelope as the motorized version. The head can be moved around the operating table or bed, crossed over to the opposite working side and parked clear of the lamp and the anaesthesia position. The column height is fixed at installation rather than adjusted electrically, which suits rooms where the equipment and the working position do not change.
The standard service package includes eight electrical sockets in UK, USA or European pattern, eight grounding points and two rail racks. Brake buttons and knuckles are colour-coded so the operator can see which joint is released while the head is being repositioned, and an electromagnetic and pneumatic brake system is available as an option. Load carrying capacity is 90 kg as standard and can be increased to 180 kg on a customised build for heavier ventilator, monitor and infusion loads.
Shelves, an IV pole, a drawer, a data socket cover, pressure gauges for the medical gases and medical gas outlets in BS, DIN or AFNOR pattern can all be added to the head. The non-motorized double arm pendant is used where a long reach matters more than powered adjustment: surgical and endoscopy suites, imaging rooms and intensive care bays with a fixed bed position. Arm lengths and the service mix are set for each project before production.

Frequently asked questions
How does this differ from TEC21.02?
The arm and joint arrangement is the same, so the reach and the parking positions are identical. TEC21.02 adds a motorized column that changes the height of the service head electrically; TEC21.04 fixes that height at installation. Everything else, including load capacity and the standard socket package, is shared.
Can a non-motorized pendant be upgraded later?
Converting a fixed column to a motorized one is not a field modification - it changes the column assembly. If powered height adjustment might be needed later, it is far cheaper to specify the motorized version at project stage.
What load should we allow for?
Plan around the heaviest combination that will ever hang on the head: ventilator, monitor, syringe and infusion pumps, shelves and the items they carry. Standard capacity is 90 kg and customised builds go up to 180 kg, so the equipment list determines the specification.
