Signamed patient-centered signage is a hospital room sign system that carries custom communication icons, improving communication between hospital staff and reducing safety risks. Each sign combines room identification with vital patient information such as isolation status and precautionary attachments, so the essential facts about the patient inside are visible before anyone enters. The signs are designed for hospital patient rooms, hospital exam rooms, resident rooms in intensive care facilities and other healthcare locations, and are ADA compliant with Grade 2 Braille and tactile copy.
Construction is built around a non-reflective transparent cover that protects an easily replaceable printed paper insert, with communicative pull tabs along the edges of the panel. The nails are available in 12 different colours and can be configured to suit the wall space available, so a facility can code isolation, NPO status, fall risk, allergy and other conditions in whatever way its own protocols require. Because the information sits on a printed insert rather than on the panel itself, updating signature information is quick and does not mean replacing hardware.
