Elegance Zone Service Unit - Medical Gas Zone Valve Box (TEC31.01)

The Elegance zone service unit is a medical gas zone valve box for one to six gases including vacuum, built behind a sliding printed plexiglass cover. Analogue manometers, isolating valves, low pressure sensors and a gas alarm controller sit in one electrostatically painted carbon steel frame, manufactured to EN ISO 7396-1 and HTM 02-01.

Overview

The Elegance zone service unit monitors the pressure of the gas services feeding a clinical area and lets those gases be cut off at the boundary of the area in an emergency. Each gas has its own analogue manometer, its own on-off medical gas valve and its own low pressure sensor, and the gas alarm controller built into the unit reports the whole zone at once. The unit is manufactured in accordance with EN ISO 7396-1 and HTM 02-01.

The frame is made from carbon steel sheet, electrostatically painted, and the front cover is plexiglass with a printed design that slides open rather than swinging out into the corridor. A window in the cover keeps the analogue manometers and the digital alarms visible without opening the unit, so routine checks take a glance. Pressure billets are machined from brass raw material and the on-off valves are valves intended specifically for medical gas service.

Units are produced for one to six gases - oxygen, medical vacuum, medical air 4 bar, surgical air 7 bar, nitrous oxide and carbon dioxide - with product codes TEC31.01.01 to TEC31.01.06 according to the gas count. Flush mounted and surface mounted variants are both available. Optional features include an emergency NIST connection and custom cover designs printed in the hospital's own colours, which is why the Elegance unit is usually specified for corridors and public-facing areas.

Frequently asked questions

How many gases can one Elegance unit control?

From one to six gases including vacuum, with the product code following the gas count from TEC31.01.01 to TEC31.01.06. Each gas gets its own analogue manometer, its own on-off medical gas valve and its own low pressure sensor inside the same body.

Why a sliding cover instead of a hinged door?

A sliding plexiglass cover opens without swinging out into the corridor, which matters in circulation areas and narrow ward corridors. The printed design keeps the unit visually consistent with the interior while the window still lets staff read the manometers and the alarm display with the cover closed.

Can the cover be printed in our hospital's colours?

Yes - custom cover designs according to the hospital's company colours are listed as an optional feature. The design is applied to the plexiglass front during production, so it is specified with the order rather than applied on site.

Is an emergency gas connection available?

An emergency NIST connection is an optional feature on the Elegance unit. It allows a temporary cylinder supply to be coupled to the zone if the main pipeline supply to that area is interrupted.
